Rated 83 going into the race, she clearly had the credentials to make her mark but, although travelling well on the inside over a furlong out, it appeared she was going to need the breaks to come out on top. However, her young jockey is riding on the crest of a wave and, having switched to the outside inside the final furlong, found his mount had the necessary turn of foot to power ahead. She settled nicely in the race and this should have done her confidence the world of good.
Congestion Charge had run well on her debut behind the well-regarded Leningrad at Lingfield and did little wrong. She stayed on well to lead briefly inside the final furlong but couldn't quite repel the winner. She can improve further and win her maiden before making her mark in handicap company.
Empire Dancer also put in a most creditable performance, as he led from the outset and kept on well under pressure when pressed in the closing stages. He can improve for the outing and can be placed to advantage.
