Just an ordinary event but plenty to like about the determination shown by the winner SATULAGI who provided Stan Moore with his first winner from a yearling he had bought in the States. She was soon racing towards the centre of the course tracking the leader and stuck her neck out in the closing stages to get her head in front close home. She will be given a break now before being brought back for a mid-summer campaign and can win more races.

Hucking Hill did little wrong as he broke well and settled in the lead but was just collared by a stronger rival in the closing stages. He looks capable of winning in this grade and should soon go one better.

Amber Valley was another who looked green on her debut as she was pushed along in behind but she stayed on in quite promising fashion and can improve for this experience. Juan Bol was keen and green in the early stages but should also come on for the run.
