Banjo Bay ran well on his return to the turf and moved readily into the lead over a furlong out but couldn't hold the sustained effort of the winner. He can soon find favour in this grade.
Norcroft stayed on quite well in the closing stages and just edged left inside the final furlong. He was having his first outing since the end of January and should improve for the outing and was in on a reasonable mark for this contest.
Feast Of Romance travelled well towards the far side on his first run since January and first since rejoining Geoff Huffer. He should come on for the outing and his handler will place him to good effect in due course. Piccleyes is much more effective on the all-weather and never really threatened and Straffan showed early pace and led over three furlongs out but had no more to offer in the closing stages.
