Analyis of the race

This handicap chase looked one of the better contests on the card and it resulted in a close finish between the front three and a new course record for the 2m chase course.

ROOSTER’S REUNION managed to reverse recent Newton Abbot form with Scalloway under revised terms. He was scoring for the first time in almost a year and has not always been the most consistent.

Scalloway has always found it difficult to follow up after winning, but he had every chance here and did nothing wrong. However, a 10lb rise for his last win has made things a lot more difficult.
