Otelcaliforni chased the pace, racing slightly wider out but got outpaced early in the straight before rallying to good effect. She still showed greenness but stepped up considerably on her debut effort 230 day ago. She should soon get off the mark this summer.
Fluorescent was another always nagging at the winner through the race but she was shaken off in the final furlong and lost second. Her stable are in fine form and as she is bred to come into her own over slightly further, she too looks to have a bright future and can now be handicapped.
Gelder swished her tail under pressure but edged closer through the final three furlongs without being able to land a blow. With more stamina on the dam side, she may improve for a step up in trip.
Scylla Cadeaux may have been well beaten but she was very green and showed enough to remain interesting for her maiden.
