NIPPY DES MOTTES, an easy winner at Taunton 48 hours earlier, had little difficulty in following up. He has to be held up until the last hurdle and his young rider did precisely that. What the handicapper will make of two victories in as many days is anybody's guess, but life will not be as easy for him afterwards.
Bonny Grey was always up with the pace but plugged away when the two principals had flown.
Predicament was a bit too keen early on and may have been a shade closer but for getting the last slightly wrong. He is relatively unexposed.
