Scooby Dude was far from disgraced as he matched strides with the winner all the way and it was only inside the final furlong that he gave best. He has form on the all-weather and that gives his trainer plenty of options.
Stoneacre Boy played up in the stalls and lost his chance at the start, while Choysia was very slowly away.
