The gelding had won six times when trained by Lynda Ramsden and Richard Fahey shelled out 30,000gns for him last autumn after she retired from training. On this evidence it could provemoney well spent.
Charlotte Vale had travelled well when runner-up on her reappearance at Catterick recently before succumbing to the late challenge of Maneki Neko and she again moved smoothly throughout. Going on in the home straight, she had little trouble in taking her revenge on Maneki Neko, who stayed on from the rear to finish fifth this time.
Ego Trip helped to force the pace and kept on well for minor money. He is back on his last winning mark and can soon score, provided the handicapper does not go berserk.
