The gallop was a fair one, and the winner STELLITE came from off the pace after travelling well under restraint. He got the better of the runner-up towards the finish and is maintaining the sort of form he showed at the end of last season.
Aperitif, having his second race in five days, had the ground in his favour and was only denied late. This effort came hot on the heels of a fair run at Redcar and he looks in good enough form to win a similar contest.
Riquewihr, fit from the all-weather, made a pleasing return to turf.
Titinius, having his second outing of the week, ran another fair race, this time from a poor draw. Six furlongs may be his best trip.
True Night ran a respectable race under his penalty, while Hewaraat made a satisfactory return to action, and on his first outing since changing stables last autumn.
