Hurdling debutant Dark Parade plied his trade over this sort of trip on the all-weather, and he looks to need at least two and a half miles over hurdles judged on this staying-on effort. He will be hard to stop over that trip next time.
Massif Centrale didn't attain the heights on the Flat that were expected of him (ran in 2004 Derby), but he was nonetheless the most interesting newcomer. He was running a decent race too, until unseating at the second-last. He is worth another chance over hurdles. There's a suspicion that Nelson Du Ronceray will show more when switched to handicaps.
