Former stablemates PRINCELET and Traprain dominated the end proceedings, with the former prevailing by more in hand than the official winning margin suggests. He was always prominent, led four out and was always holding his ex-team-mate. Princelet was given a 25-1 quote for the Triumph Hurdle by VCbet, but his trainer has an embarrassment of riches in that department and so punters are advised to hold fire. Princelet is very much one to follow, though.
Princelet and Traprain had both scored at Nottingham over ten furlongs on the same day last October, and Traprain got close to the winner without ever looking likely to overhaul him. He was ridden with restraint and may have been better served by being a bit closer to Princelet as the race developed in earnest. The runner-up got a 33-1 quote by VCbet for the Triumph.
The vet reported Eudyptes was lame.
