Analyis of the race

This quicker ground enabled DICKENSBURY LAD to show that his Newbury flop last month was all wrong. Although headed by Wild Is The Wind before the third-last he soon wrestled back the lead and in the end won decisively.

Wild Is The Wind was the junior runner and having a first start over fences. While his jumping was largely satisfactory, he brushed through a couple on the final circuit which impaired his momentum.
