Rojabaa was given the added insult of another 2lb rise in defeat last time, but this admirably consistent performer bounced off this good ground to use his Flat speed to win the day. His new connections looked to have found improvement in this seven-year-old and he is starting from a lowly rating and this narrow win can hardly see him suffer with the official again.
Caraman enjoyed the better ground but has been in good form, both over jumps and on the Flat for new connections. He should have a profitable spring and summer.
Lysander did not pay much attention to his hurdles, possibly being taken along plenty quick enough for a long-striding horse around this tight track. He did well to maintain the gallop to not be beaten far after always chasing the pace.
Amour Multiple went with the pace and kept plugging away, but looks to need some relief from the handicapper.
Bonny Grey deserves rating a shade better than the bare form as she did well to retain her footing when ploughing through the fourth-last when at full stretch. It cost her momentum, but she was staying on steadily in the straight.
Redi was deemed to have been withdrawn at the start, but he was reluctant to jump off and should be treated with caution.
