In this form, he must have every chance of completing the hat-trick and could turn out again in a slightly higher class over course and distance tomorrow.
Mister Benji, like the eventual winner, sat off the furious early gallop and was produced with every chance in the straight. He is not that consistent, but is clearly up to winning at this level when things fall right.
Chicken Soup, 3lb higher than when winning over course and distance on his previous start, fared best of those involved in setting the pace and emerges with plenty of credit.
Blue Empire was visually impressive when bolting up over course and distance on his previous start, and was 7lb well-in under his penalty, but he could not dominate this time and looks flattered by that last success, although he did confirm placings with Quiet Reading.
