DOCTOR DENNIS would have appreciated the strong gallop and found plenty when asked under a well-timed ride from Jimmy Quinn to record his fourth course-and-distance success. He did not have very much in hand at the line, but should not go up too much as a result and ought to remain competitive.
Imperium seemed to take an age to get going, but ultimately finished very strongly and was just held. He does not win very often, but could find a race while in this sort of form.
Park Star was below form at Lingfield on her most recent start, but finished quite well off the strong pace and this was better.
Jalouhar does most of his racing in banded company these days but, fitted with eye shields for the first time, this was a respectable effort.
Limonia had little chance of sustaining the strong pace she set, and Mulberry Lad also failed to see his race out having gone a decent pace.Mind Alert has been in good form in banded company recently, including winning twice over course and distance, but he never got competitive in this slightly better class.
