OWED, who had run out the ready winner of a 7f seller here last week, showed that he is still on the upgrade when again scoring with a fair bit to spare. He is entered up over a mile here today, but his trainer Robert Gray reckons that trip will be stretching his stamina to its limits, and possibly beyond.

The free-running Ruman, restrained early, had plenty to do from the home turn, but with his rider getting stuck in he ran on strongly in the last furlong, without ever posing a threat to thewinner.

Kennington was a creditable fourth from his high draw, while Cool Sands, who looked to be travelling as well as any 2f out, did not find a great deal off the bridle and never got in a blow.

*Trainer Christine Dunnett reported that Kennington lost a hind plate.
