Radiator Rooney, who had been doing all his best work at the finish when third over 5f at Wolverhampton last time, broke much better on this occasion and forced a decent pace. He did not give up without a fight, but the concession of 9lb to Mister Incredible provedbeyond him.
Babeth, having her first run since winning a 5f Wolverhampton maiden from Quote Unquote in October, was never far away but hung under pressure in the straight and could never get in an effective blow.
Money Mate was not disgraced off top-weight but needs some relief from the handicapper, while Smart Ass caught the eye running on late after being slowly away and Royal Moon ran as if he needs at least 7f to be seen to effect.
