Davidia could not utilise a handy high draw but stayed on stoutly with a good run through near the inside rail. He had been beaten over a mile last time, flattening out in his run, so there has to be a doubt about his trip.
Gift Aid momentarily looked like he had made a winning move when committing for home inside the final 2f but he was found wanting for stamina in the final 150 yards. Mull OfDubai did not get running room until late and finished strongly out of the pack after weaving through to again look as if further will suit. The rest bunched up behind with only Almowj catching the eye as he was last and outpaced at halfway before, switched to the outside, he plugged on steadily without threatening to land a blow on this drop back in trip.
