Not an easy race to fathom, and though the pace wasn't strong, they finished well strung out.

PROFIT'S REALITY had run below form in the Rosebery when reportedly too keen, but that run clearly brought him on. He was keen again here, but after being switched off the rails, just did enough despite carrying his head a little high. Considering he was rated bottom of the seven runners, and the runner-up was 17lb higher, he hasn't done his long term prospects, in handicaps at least, any good as he faces a hefty rise now.

Blue Monday had his ground and had every chance, but perhaps just needed the race and was worn down close home. He should come on for the run, but with his mark of 108, is not going to be that easy to place this time.

Grand Passion, who has been in good form on the all-weather, needs better ground, Lord Mayor had the run of the race but weakened, and Traytonic, who was reluctant to go to post, is unlikely to ever stay this far.
