This could have been a three-mile chase in heavy ground. What is certain is that BOLLIN DEREK loved the conditions and though he had to work a little to shake off the runner-up, he won easing down. He showed no form last year but has matured and there is no reason why he should not continue to progress, but soft ground at least seems to be the key.
