Easy for ALFIE FLITS, who won this Listed race in the style of a highly progressive horse. One of last winter's top bumper performers, he has since shown himself to possess a lot of speed - his latest run at Nottingham over a mile proved that - and he showed that quality again here, coming smoothly off a dawdling gallop to put this race to bed in a matter of strides.

There is a Listed race at Roscommon next month that may prove tempting for the winner, but plans are to give him a little break andthen work away in the autumn in Listed and Group 3 races. He is a very exciting prospect.

Lost Soldier Three may have needed this comeback outing over a trip short of his best, while Astrocharm ran poorly.
