Vice Admiral appeared to benefit from this test of stamina as he was being ridden some way out but stayed on well in the straight to take second place close home. He has not always proved reliable in the past and was tried in blinkers on his previous start but clearly has the ability to go close off this mark - he will be suited by further too.
Mister Fizzbomb has improved of late and ran another good race, particularly as he did best of those ridden prominently, leading until 2f out, and the handicapper may not quite have got hold of him yet. Freeze The Frame ran creditably in first-time blinkers and Leo McGarry turned in a respectable effort. But Bramcote Lorne weakened from over 1f out and Fonic Rock could not confirm the improved form she had shown on her previous outing.
