Cormorant Wharf ran well considering the ground may just have been on the firm side for him, though he did not look an easy ride. Nor did Seattle Robber, who was pushed along from some way out but only made any impression in the final 2f and kept on late for third - he clearly needs things to go just right - a stronger gallop would have helped him.
The remainder were fairly comfortably held, with The Pen unable quite to confirm the promise of her Beverley win, though this was a stronger affair, and Viable a shade keen.
