A surprise result with NOIR ET VERT showing improved form on his handicap debut on his first run over this trip. In a race run at a decent gallop, he was sent on four out, and held on well. He's the scope to make a chaser.

Chief Dan George did well considering he got loose before the start. However, he'd been running well on soft ground, but showed that he acts on this faster ground, and despite racing keenly early on, he came to challenge at the last and kept on well. He was well clear of the rest, and though he's fairly exposed now, he should be able to find a race.

Reap The Reward, unpenalised for his Ayr win, was fourth but finished lame as did Sergio Coimbra. Camden Bella never featured, and Irish Raptor dropped away after making the running.
