It's hard to make much of this form in a race in which form choice Silver Dollars ran well below expectations.
LETHEM AIR, who himself had run below form on the course two days earlier, proved suited by the addition of blinkers for the first time and, making all, ran on in good style.
He's rated 102, but that looked quite harsh, and he wouldn't have needed to run up to that figure to win this.
Its A Roofer hadn't shown much on his two previous starts over hurdles but improved on this quicker ground and stayed on well from off the pace.
Silver Dollars, who had shaped well when second at Catterick on his previous start, was disappointing this time, as he seemed ill-at-ease on the ground and was struggling from 3 out.
Bumper winner Topwell has proved disappointing over hurdles so far.
