Analyis of the race

Only one with solid form in the book and, with her not running her race, this was probably not a great contest. But HARVEST QUEEN was certainly an emphatic winner, racing keenly, leading over two furlongs out and soon going clear, eased inside the final furlong. She has clearly improved from her debut effort on the all-weather last year, but exactly how much is difficult to gauge in this field and we will get a better idea of her ability on her next start.

The frame was filled with newcomers, Rose Lady doing best of them, always prominent and just holding on for second. She should improve, as should Dear Gracie who did best of those who came off the pace and looks to have ability judged on this effort.Miss Thailand’s debut effort last season merited her market position here but she never looked like living up to it. She lacks scope and may not be easy to place this year.
