Analyis of the race

The ground was very much on the quick side of good but there was a decent covering of grass so there was not too much jar in it. This mares' maiden hurdle looked fairly competitive. CIRRIOUS had shown very little in two previous tries over hurdles and this represented a much improved show, which connections put down to her settling better on this faster ground. She will be kept going over the summer months and can win again now that the penny has dropped.

Wee Dinns looked as if she had made a winning move turning in but she hung both ways two out and surrendered her advantage. She then appeared to do everything she could to get out of it and needs to be more patiently ridden if she is to collect.

Barton Flower proved something of a let down as she was the first of the fancied horses off the bridle. Her previous placed efforts meant she set the standard here and there must be a question mark over her now.
