An ordinary conditional jockeys' handicap hurdle and the front three came well clear. KILTY STORM was suited by the step up in trip on his handicap bow and stayed on strongly to score. Quite what the form is worth even allowing for how far the principals were clear is debatable and off a higher mark he could struggle in better company. He won an Irish point-to-point at Carrigtwohill, so there is the option of going chasing.

The Gangerman probably wants more of a test but he is nothing out of the ordinary.

Hi Humpfree would have been placed but for coming down in the straight when still upsides the winner and he may be able to gain compensation at some stage.
