JUSTIFIED had got rid of his rider at the first over fences in Ireland last time but he jumped pretty well here. However, he had to be driven right out in the end for just a workmanlike win. There were apparently excuses for him making hardish work of this as he had a poor trip from Ireland being in his box for around 17 hours. His next outing will be in the Irish Arkle at Leopardstown before coming over to Cheltenham for the British equivalent in March.
Cornish Sett was on his best behaviour here following a sulky performance at Warwick last time when things did not pan out for him. Small fields don't really suit him as he is the type who relishes coming off a fast pace and being carried into the race. It would be no surprise if he reversed form with the winner at Cheltenham as that will be run at a furious pace.
The drop back in trip did not work for Celtic Son, who was also a little laboured at some fences. He has somethingto prove.
