CHRISTY BEAMISH has a great record in point-to-points and has the makings of a useful hunter chaser. He reportedly returned sick after his only race under Rules last season, but he had made a winning reappearance in a point and followed up with a decisive success here. Patiently ridden, he was going as well as any at the cross fence and overcame a mistake three out to pick up Knife Edge going to the last. He stays a fair bit further than this and his target is the John Corbet at Stratford in May.
Minella Silver had every chance and ran his race again. He just looked a bit one-paced.
