Not a great turnout for the money but it was run at a decent clip and produced a stirring finish. Compared to his debut over course and distance, PREMIER DANE was more patiently ridden this time and was just idling a little in front but is the type to get better with experience.

My Immortal has some winning form on the Flat, and tried bravely to make all. All out from the second last he gave the winner a real fright and may be even more effective going left-handed.

Ex-French recruit Dear Villez, the first-ever runner here for his trainer, was bidding to follow up his British debut success on much different ground at Folkestone. He got outpaced in these quicker conditions turning in and found his second wind on the run-in. He comes out of this best on the book and should appreciate a return to softer ground.
