Quite an open affair for this handicap chase and ZAFFAMORE recorded his fourth course win in a driving finish. Poor breathing has dogged the horse’s career and he had to have another operation this winter. He had gone well enough on his comeback run last time and showed that he still has the appetite for a fight here. He is likely to have a break now as he must go right-handed and there are no more races for him.

Key Phil lost all momentum with an error at the first in the straight, which almost catapulted his rider airborne. He was still bang in contention at the time and had been in good form of late and may be able to make amends despite his current career-high mark.
