MR FLOODLIGHT has improved since he was gelded and switched to the AW, and he was a pound well-in following last week's maiden race second at Wolverhampton. He got a good ride, as he was well placed all the way and took the race by the scruff of the neck going to the furlong pole. He was being rapidly overhauled at the finish, however.
Katchit and Moi Aussi both came from the back of the field, and Moi Aussi looked unlucky, for he lost three lengths or more at the start and was still plum last, on the wide outside, as they straightened up. She made up six lengths or so on the winner in the last furlong but couldn't quite get there. Unfortunately, this was her last opportunity to run off this mark, as she will be 3lb higher when reassessed for last week's Southwell win.
Certain Circles hasn't progressed since his debut win last year, and he reportedly returns to the States now.
