SUPER FRANK came into the race with just the three runs behind him, and with blinkers on for the first time as he had reportedly been working lazily. He got bumped around a bit coming down the hill but was well placed in the chasing group - though the leader had gone clear - as they straightened for home. When switched to the inner he ran on well, and he ought not to go up more than 3lb or 4lb for a relatively narrow win in a poor affair.
Ms Rainbow Runner took it up on the wide outside 3f out and looked as if she would take some catching when she was sent 3l clear, especially as she has won here over a 3f longer trip, but the favourite got to her inside the final furlong.
Paris Power and Smile For Us had their chance, but the former showed a bit more this time in the first-time headgear.
Titus Lumpus was going on at the finish and showed a bit more here on his handicapping debut. His jockey reported that he hung left throughout.
