Before You Go could have done with a stronger all-round pace as he was on and off the bridle in sixth and lacked the pace when hard-driven off the home bend. He only just managed to pull back Lenoir in the final furlong but the winner had flown.
Norman Beckett was very free to post and when leading in the race itself before dropping right away.
