Upright Ima is fully exposed and is still a maiden. She will not find many weaker handicaps to get off the mark in and remains opposable.
Robbie Can Can, fit from the Flat but not seen over hurdles for almost two years, never threatened the principals from off the pace. He is usually ridden this way but on this occasion the leaders did not come back to him.
Woodford Consult had just been switched to come with her challenge when the filly took it into her head to run out at the third-last. Crashing through the wing, she hampered Needwood Spirit in the process, prompting a brief Mexican wave from that one's rider before she fell off.
