SHEKAN STAR had been off the track four months, but she had a good chance on last October's Wolverhampton second to Tycheros and, after being patiently ridden, she stayed on well to hold Lysander's Quest. She is still unexposed at this sort of trip and will get further. The longer straight here evidently suited her better than Wolverhampton.
Lysander's Quest gets further than this and is clearly capable of winning still in this grade.
Twentytwosilver is a bit frustrating, but he continues knocking on the door. He was restrained at the start here and given a patient ride, but he was staying on up the wide outside at the finish.
Gaelic Roulette had her chance.
Equilibria stayed on after being held up, but Noble Mind was weakening after chasing the leader.
Further back Dishdasha was tightened up inside the final furlong, but for which he might well have been a few places closer.
