FANTAISISTE, in foal to Cadeaux Genereux, was last into the final two furlongs but mowed them down pulled widest out towards the stands half. This was a drop back to her winning trip after she seemed to have struggled to get home when ridden more prominently over seven but she still looked plenty high enough in the ratings.
Golden Dixie, who raced closer to the pace, looked to have taken the race apart into the final furlong and still beat the rest well enough. This was a good comeback after his winter break but he had looked exorbitantly high in the handicap when signing off on the turf last year and was artificially high here as well.
Lindbergh made a menacing move going to the final furlong but flattened out, suggesting he may be better back over five.
First Order ran better than the bare form as he was hampered badly after a furlong and then had little room early in the straight before staying on as well as anything bar the winner.
Councellor does not impress with his head carriage but he kept plugging away wider out in the final two furlongs without threatening to land a blow.
