Fajr may have missed out on his hat-trick, but remains equally progressive. The handicapper has hit him harder than the winner. He had to angle left for a run, just tightening up Whitgift Rock before edging right under pressure but keeping up the chase.
Farewell Gift was hampered in a knock-on situation as Fajr made his move early in the straight before staying on without leaving the impression that the interference cost him dearly.
Just Fly had to be sharply reined in when making some progress albeit only in midfield going to the final furlong and this veteran finds it hard to win anyhow.
