Harry Flashman, a last-flight faller on his hurdles debut, performed creditably here and was only denied in a bobbing finish. He still looks a little raw, but the ability is there and his turn will surely come in the near future.
Fastaffaran, a keen-going sort, ran well for a long way, but failed to get home as well as the principals; he may require better ground. There was a wide-margin back to the remainder, headed by Glen Oscar, a failed point-to-pointer.
