My Final Bid was always up there and was only just run out of it by the winner. He was clear of the third and deserves to win one having found just one too good on his four appearances. He is certainly capable of winning.
More Likely was out paced three out, but he was staying on in the closing stage (rider dropped whip) and there was some encouragement on this jumping debut. A longer trip will suit.
Sotovik was close enough on the turn, but was then left behind. Better could have been expected.
Troll was keen and not fluent at his hurdles.
The odds-on chance Some Touch's saddle slipped after the first flight and it is to his credit that he was still there disputing approaching the last, but when push came to shove that was that. Obviously this run can be forgotten. Brian Hughes later reported that Some Touch's saddle had slipped.
