This was really moderate stuff, but the first two showed excellent attitudes under pressure. HARRY FLASHMAN had not had the best of luck prior to this win, but he followed up a good second at Kelso with this gutsy victory, which proved that he can handle quick ground as well as mud. He is likely to have one more run over hurdles before being put away for the summer.
Bywell Beau was as keen as ever, but he still ran his best race for ages and would have got back up in a few more strides. He also finished well clear of the third, and should be able to find a small contest.
Bally Brakes had an excellent chance on paper but he stopped very quickly, running as if something was amiss. He is not one to have much faith in for the future.
