An inconclusive event as several were hampered in an incident at the fifth, and the runner-up suffered interference between the last two.

This faster ground brought out improved form in BAFANA BOY, who escaped the trouble, and going on three out, ran on well. He's comparatively inexperienced, and may improve a little more though this wasn't a strong event.

Aston, reappearing after a break, goes well on fast ground, and would have finished closer but for being hampered between the last two. He can pick up a race.

Coy Lad didn't run as well as he had at Carlisle, but he was quite badly hampered at the fifth, and though he got back into the race, he didn't find a great deal after travelling well.
