Another hunter chase in which most were fairly exposed, but the pace was strong. JUPITER'S FANCY, a winner on good ground at Musselburgh in February, returned to form on this better ground, and though he was struggling from a long way out and looked held between the last two, he kept on, as the leader tired, to get in front close home.

Imps Way, who had beaten the winner in the maiden hunter chase on the card last year, was held up off the strong gallop and jumping well, she went five lengths clear going to the final fence only to idle after the last and be collared close home. She's clearly come back to form, and can gain compensation.

Carriage Ride has yet to win a race, but is better than the bare form, as he was hampered by a faller at the eighth before keeping on.

Point winner Mr Hawkeye was too keen, and though beaten a long way, left the impression he'll do better when dropped down in trip.
