Whistle Blowing found the winner in a different league but stayed on to go second on the home turn. Improving with racing, heshapes as if he will appreciate a step up in trip.
Josear is fully exposed - this was his 14th run of the season - and he helps set the level of the form.
Ellerslie Tom, unable to get his own way in front, faded somewhat tamely from the second last.
Sultan Fontenaille, having his third run over hurdles, stayed on nicely in the latter stages and is not without hope.
