This maiden hurdle did not look a great heat on paper and, consequently, Pass It On was sent off a very warm order. But he was under pressure from some way out and had to play second fiddle behind stablemate BRISCOE PLACE. The winner travelled better than most but was all out to score in the end. He had won his bumper on fast ground and that seems to be the key to him.
The Rocking Dock, making his hurdles debut after showing some promise in bumpers, hit the penultimate flight but he appeared held at the time. However, there is one of these modest affairs in him.
Irish Flight was beaten a fair way on his first run for ages and may well come on for it but he is now nine years old.
