The form of this race is slightly suspect as runner-up Picture Frame had been beaten in a seller and a claimer on his two previous starts. The first two both raced up the middle of the track, and the winner HILL OF LUJAIN, who had shaped quite well on his Beverley debut, came late to get up in the final strides. He's not very big, but the way he races suggests he'll improve when stepped up to six furlongs.
That said, third-placed My Mirasol had shaped well on easy ground on her two previous starts, but she was well held this time after showing speed.
Animated is a likely improver, as he looked just in need of the race, for though he showed early speed, he faded in the last furlong.
