ZAMALA was a big disappointment on her seasonal reappearance at Warwick, albeit in a race won by Ivy Creek, but a case could be made for her on the back of her third to Short Skirt in a Newmarket juvenile maiden. On that form she was fairly handicapped, and there was a lot to like about the way in which she cut down her rivals once Martin Dwyer got serious. She's no world beater, but she's a few pounds ahead of her mark.
Incidentally's jockey rode a good race from the front, setting only a medium gallop, but he could not counteract the winner's final thrust. He had run well in three maidens prior to this, and he cannot be long from winning if retaining this consistency.
Lucky Token was not beaten far, but was still just a shade disappointing given her profile, while Semi Detached ran a promising race on his handicap debut andwould be interesting if dropped a few pounds.
Glenmuir has been a model of consistency but he was beaten a long way out.
