RYDAL MOUNT, whose 100-1 third in a newcomers race at Newbury is working out, was perfectly placed, travelling strongly, when they straightened up, and once she was sent to the front she was never going to be beaten. Her future lies in handicaps now.
Quintrell was unlucky not to finish closer, as she was stuck on the rail 3f out and when she was being eased to the outside for her effort she ran into a bit of traffic. She ran on when she got into the clear, but the winner had flown. She can be rated better than the bare form.
There was a gap back to First Approval's stablemate Shangazi, who showed a bit of promise in fourth after being last into the straight, while the Australian-bred newcomer Sajaaya also showed a bit and should come on for the experience.
