DOC ROW called the shots, sticking to the inside up the straight and always holding the upper hand. He did not hurdle with much fluency but is another of his connections' embryo chasers, already being an Irish point-to-point winner.
His stablemate Bumper travelled well in the pack but also had a good look at a couple of hurdles. He was slightly outpaced in the pocket out of the back straight before edging closer up the straight, taken widest to the stands rail into the last. He finished closer than at Lingfield ten days ago and looks progressive.
Chilly Milly enjoyed this better ground and was noticeably taken wide for the best of the ground with the inside well chewed up by now. She could not reach the big three but kept on well enough to suggest in a strongly run contest she can make her mark possibly in a handicap.
